 Dr. Dawson graduated from the Medical College of Virginia in 1982. He completed his Family Practice residency at The Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia. He is board certified in Family Practice and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
He is a member of the medical staff of Orlando Regional - South Seminole Hospital where he has served as Chairman of the Department of Medicine, Chairman of the Critical Care Committee, Chairman of the Hospital Leadership Committee, and a member of the ORHS Medical Executive Committee.
He is a member of the medical staff of Florida Hospital where he has served as Chairman of the Department of Family Practice and a member of the Florida Hospital Medical Executive Committee. Through his affiliation with the Family Practice Residency Program at Florida Hospital he was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of the School of Medicine of The University of South Florida.
